LOVING

ÅBEN DANS (DK)

DANCE / DRAMA
NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN

‘In a time when we’re drowning in fears for our organic or economic future, where social desperation, violence and war are our daily news fodder, I would like to focus on love. Love between a man and a woman, between a mother and son and to life, however ordinary. ‘Loving’ is an ode entrusted to all of us to remind us of what’s most important; a dance poem surrounded by visual magic.’
Director Catherine Poher

-Three love stories rolled into one:

A poetic power leads the way through the performance, which encompasses three love stories in one: a young, 18-year-old woman’s infatuation with a 15-year-old boy, a mother’s love for the boy that becomes the fruit of their love - and the boy’s love as an adult for the wonders of life.

The French psychologist and writer Jacques Salomé has given Åben Dans the exclusive rights to stage the personal and very beautiful story LOVING. Based on his own life, LOVING is a visually and physically strong performance starring Lane Lind as the older woman who conjures up a universe based upon memories filled with love.

‘Loving’ is aimed at an adult audience.
