Four puppets, three actors, hundreds of fluorescent tubes, and the sound of David Bowie is among the ingredients in Husets Teater’s remarkable space adventure about putting life and love at stake in order to find the answers to the mysteries of the Universe.
In harsh competition with the entire world’s good men, the young Danish major Tom, has been chosen to go on a dangerous mission. As the first man ever, he will leave our solar system – almost at the speed of light – headed for an area near the star Sirius. Recently a black hole has been discovered in this area and Tom is supposed to observe it as closely as possible.
Non-Stop is a surprising and poetic exploration of actual theatre combined with animation theatre in a form where the puppets are manipulated openly on stage.
Reumert Award winning (2007) Carl Press has developed four, amazing puppets especially for NON-STOP, which is written and directed by Simon K. Boberg with the american director, choreograph and puppet-capacity, Dan Hurlin, as consultant.
